SJNC Honored by City of Rochester

SJNC Executive Director Jen Sahrle receives certificate from Mayor Malik Evans

St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center is being recognized by the City of Rochester for its 30 years of providing care to the area’s uninsured and underinsured. In February, Rochester Mayor Malik Evans presented SJNC Executive Director Jen Sahrle with a certificate of Special Mayoral Recognition in honor of the Center’s 30th anniversary.

SJNC was founded in December 1993 by six SSJs to help provide holistic healthcare to those who were underserved. Over the past three decades, the Center has expanded its services beyond those for physical needs, including mental healthcare, supportive services, financial counseling and more.

In receiving the certificate, Sahrle stated, “The medical and mental health needs of those we serve remain our primary objective as we look to the Center’s future. We look forward to continuing to partner with the City in meeting those needs.”
