The Sisters of Saint Joseph are proud to host the 13th Annual Artist's Soul Art Show from April 22- May 1, 2016 at the SSJ Motherhouse located at 150 French Road in Rochester. The exhibit is open Saturdays 1 to 5 pm, Sundays noon to 4 pm, and Monday through Friday, noon to 5 pm. Admission is free. The public is also invited to a special Opening Reception Friday, April 22 from 7 to 9 pm.
The Artist's Soul Art Show will feature the work of 23 artists from the Rochester area, including five Sisters of Saint Joseph. The exhibit includes original works in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, and photography as well as prints and notecards.
This year’s featured artist is Anne Marie Maier. Ms. Maier is a self-taught photographer who started taking pictures with an old Kodak “Brownie” box camera. She soon developed a passion for exploring life through the lens, specifically the surrounding landscapes and abundant wildlife of upstate New York.
A portion of the proceeds from the Artist's Soul Art Show benefits the SSJ Ministry Fund. The fund helps support the work of our Sisters in education, health and pastoral care and social service.
