SSJs Continue Homeless Outreach

The Sisters of Saint Joseph continued their outreach to those in need with an Ice Cream Social on Thursday, June 22 at St. Joseph's Park in the City of Rochester. The event was organized by Sister Beth LeValley through Rochester's Homeless Outreach Team (HOT). Sister Beth is a member of HOT along with representatives from various service agencies throughout Monroe County. Other items that were available for those in attendance were peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, made by our Sisters at the Motherhouse, clothing, personal care products and information on a number of human services. Sister Beth says she plans to host another HOT event in September.

Sisters Mary Ann Sliwa and Anne Marvin were among several SSJs and SSJ Associates to provide food, clothes and hygiene products to those in need.
