Sister Eileen Daly (formerly John Patrick)
“The last 60 years of being a Sister of Saint Joseph have been a gift to me because of the people with whom I have lived and worked, and those I met along the journey.
“My ministry in the Congregation has been primarily in elementary education, starting in Waterloo, NY where I still have ties. From there, I went to Holy Childhood(both on Andrews Street and then Buffalo Road) where the children and adults wove their way into my heart forever. Next was Christ the King where I was blessed with many good people. Next was Corpus Christi (Main Street and then Monroe Avenue/Oxford Street) where I was a teacher and then principal for 30 years. The educational ministry at Corpus Christi in the city of Rochester enriched my life in untold ways. I was welcomed into another culture and blessed again with many friendships and life experiences that broadened my life and vision.
“The next adventure was as a member of our Congregation’s Leadership Team which brought ever new experiences. The relationships with our Sisters both here at home and around the nation enriched my life in community, ministry and prayer. The next mission gave me the opportunity to be a part of Nazareth Elementary School where I continued to be gifted with wonderful people.
“I know that I am a better person because of the gentle touch of all the people who were with me over these last 60 years.”
