A native of St. Anne’s Parish in Rochester, Sister Julie LeVeque pursued careers in education and pastoral ministry. She taught at St. Ambrose and Scared Heart in Rochester, and Holy Trinity in Webster. She was principal at St. Jerome’s in East Rochester and St. Anne’s in Rochester. Then she became involved in pastoral care, working at several places including the Catholic Family Center, the Sisters of Saint Joseph Spirituality Center, and Genesee Hospital. She also served as coordinator of Nazareth Convent.

During her 60th Jubilee celebration in 2017, Sister said, “These years have been nourished by God’s grace and the love of my Sisters in community.”
