SSJ Connection to St. Ambrose Honored

Members of the Knights of Columbus Ascension Council present Sisters Beth LeValley, Mary Ann Brunett, and Anne Guerin with a plaque honoring St. Ambrose history

The longstanding connection of the Sisters of Saint Joseph and St. Ambrose community was recently honored. On Thursday, November 21, in the gymnasium of St. Ambrose Academy amongst a crowd of staff and students, members of the Knights of Columbus Ascension Council presented the Sisters with a plaque honoring their long tradition of educating Peace of Christ parishioners at St. James, St. John the Evangelist, and St. Ambrose schools. The plaque reads, “In grateful remembrance of the Sisters of Saint Joseph who started St. Ambrose School in 1922, and for more than a century served St. Ambrose Parish as educators and participants in all aspects of parish life.” Sisters Beth LeValley, Anne Guerin, and Mary Ann Brunett accepted the plaque on behalf of the many Sisters who lived at the St. Ambrose Convent over a span of 90 years.
