Final Celebration at Cobblestone Springs

Sisters and friends gathered together on May 18 for a final celebration at the Cobblestone Retreat Center in Dundee, NY. Earlier this year, the Center announced it would be closing at the end of June after more than 30 years. Since its opening, many Sisters have led and participated in various spiritual retreats at Cobblestone. Sister Anne Alderman spent more than 20 years as Executive Director before resigning in 2019. She remained on the Board of Directors following her retirement. Sister Anne attended the final celebration with several SSJs including Sister Judy Greene who was the MC. They joined guests in sharing in prayer and fond memories of their time at Cobblestone. The closing of Cobblestone also marks the completion of the SSJ Mostlywood ministry, a woodworking shop operated by Sister Eileen Curtis.
